One of life's hidden gems! Come and relax in the beautiful Perthshire countryside surrounded by scenery and wildlife that will take you back to nature. For the more energetic, Kirkmichael sits at a cross roads of many scenic paths and trails, all from the doorstep of the Strathardle Lodge. If you want to brush up on your cake decorating skills, then you'll find regular classes run on the premises.

Welcome to Strathardle Lodge

Kirkmichael, Perthshire is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of Scotland. Set amongst woodlands and in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, it is truly a spectacular place to chill-out. Once you have re-charged your batteries you might want to take advantage of the many walking and cycling routes from the hotel or even skiing, which is at Glenshee, just 20 mins away.

Superior Suite

Superior Suites

Our dog friendly Superior Suites are on the ground floor, located in the annex with their own dedicated access. Parking is available immediately outside for easy access. This room has a shower, bath, a flat screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. There is a small fridge available to keep your milk and water chilled.

Up to two well behaved dogs are very welcome.

KING SIZED DOUBLE ROOMS

The king sized double rooms are on the first floor, they are spacious and have king sized beds with lovely front facing views of the surrounding countryside. They contain either a shower room or a bath with overhead shower, flatscreen Digital TV, wifi, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. There is also a small fridge with a small dining table and two chairs.

Dogs are not permitted in these rooms, but are very welcome in our outside Superior Suites or Family rooms.

FAMILY ROOM, 3 PERSON

Our dog friendly family room for 3 is on the ground floor, located in the outside annex with your own dedicated access. Parking is available immediately outside.

It has a double and a single bed which can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and a child. This room has a shower, a flat screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. There is a small fridge available to keep your milk and water chilled. 

Up to two well behaved dogs are very welcome.

FAMILY ROOMS, 4 PERSON

Our dog friendly family room for 4 is situated in annex, which was a former stable, which has it’s own dedicated access with parking available directly outside the room.

This room is perfect for families, or individuals or couples looking for more space. The room has one double and two single beds, which can accommodate up to 4 adults in 3 separate beds or 2 adults & 2 children.

The room has a shower, a flat screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and a a small fridge to keep your milk and water chilled.

A maximum of two well behaved dogs are very welcome.

Superior Suite

Superior Family Suite

Our dog friendly Superior Family suites are on the ground floor, located in the annex with their own dedicated access. Parking is available immediately outside for easy access. This room has a shower, bath, a flat screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. There is a small fridge available to keep your milk and water chilled. The room has a king sized and standard double, desk, vanity table and lots of extras.

SNUG DOUBLE ROOMS

The snug double rooms are on the first floor of the main building. They contain either a shower room or a bath with overhead shower, flat screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. There is also a small fridge to keep your milk and water chilled.

Dogs are not permitted in these rooms, but are very welcome in the outside cottages (suites and family rooms).

Residential Cake Courses

Paul Bradford is the resident tutor at Strathardle Lodge. Paul has made cakes for the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince Albert of Monaco, Barry Gibb and a long line of A list celebrities. He received the coveted Disciples d’ Escoffier Award for his work and in particular his teaching as has taught all over the world. Paul will make you feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door. His aim is to have everyone leaving at the end of the class with a huge smile and a cake that has exceeded their expectations.

SOLDIER'S LEAP

Visit the stunning scenery of Killiekrankie where a red coat (English soldier) jumped 18 feet across the raging river Garry to flee the chasing Jacobites (Scottish clans who supported the restoration of the House of Stuart to the monarchy). It is a great example of conservation and nature making this a must see visit with lots of trails and activities to explore.

Doggie Policy

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay with you in our outside cottages. Select the Superior Suite or Family Rooms to bring your doggies with you. They are welcome in the residents lounge in the main building. However they are not allowed in any other area within the main building. There is a dog exercise area around the back of the cottages as well as endless trails from the front door.

SKI GLENSHEE

With over 40km of pisted runs Glenshee ski resort has a lot to offer. There are runs for every level and with ski school available it's a great place to get started. Strathardle Lodge is just 20mins away so a perfect place to start and end your day on the slopes. Ask for a complimentary drop off and pick up in the Lodge's 4x4 if you are concerned about road conditions.

Hidden Scottish Gem! Stayed in a lovely suite and had an excellent breakfast. Location is excellent.
